Back on Kaw Drive
The smoker went cold for a year. The next generation lit it again.
Roscoe's opened in Edwardsville in 2009 as a family barbecue joint. In late 2022 the founders decided to retire, and the restaurant closed.
Their two sons had both worked there, and over the next year they saw that the community still needed it. So they renovated the inside and reopened Roscoe's in the same spot, with counter service and mostly the same menu. The burnt ends, the dry rub ribs that fall off the bone, and the sausage are all still smoked on site, and the sides are still made from scratch every day.
